New Guild-Protectors of Ascalon - Guild Wars Forums

After some thought and experience in other games, I've decided to make my own guild. It will be a medium-strong RP guild, fighting both monsters and other guilds to protect Ascalon and its many innocent villagers. This doesnt mean we all have to be noble knights, you are all encouraged to roleplay as you like, as long as you follow the rules. (or convince us you are, if your roleplayinging as a sneaky evil guy)

The name and purpose are both subject to change once I can play the game (pre-ordered from anmazon before code avalible and now cant cancel and re-order, stupid amazon

) but these will stay the same.

The guild will NOT be ruled entirely by the guild master, me. There will be 3 groups of players, each with equal (1/3) power.

First is me, the [COLOR=RoyalBlue]King[/COLOR]. I will handle any minor changes and be the voice of the guild. I will have the most power as a single person but I cannot make any major changes (actually I can but I won't) without at least one of the other parties consent.

Second will be a small group (4+ depending on guild size) of players that make up the [COLOR=RoyalBlue]Council[/COLOR]. They will be called together to make more important decisions, like (roplayed) major infractions, and major promotions.

Third is the [COLOR=RoyalBlue]People[/COLOR]. They are all the other Members, exept the Initiates, who have no power. If we plan on any big changes, such as guild merges (unlikely), cape design changes, etc. they will be noticed to a vote, and can send in their vote through the in-game forums (or any other system that would work)

These are the planned ranks, in order:
King- Me or any other that manages to usurp me.
Council Member- The best and brightest in the guild, chosen through a vote by the people.
Champions-The best of the guild, a group who Have proven themselves in PvP matches in Guild Skirmishes (we will host any number of these in a week), they are most likely to represent the guild in GvG matches. (can include members from other ranks)
Legionary- The standard and largest group in the guild, will be any who have proven themselves in the guild initiation (most likely a guild quest, or reaching level ##)
Squire- The members of this rank hold no power, but can use the guild chat and any other features until they become a legionary. (includes demoted people)

Rules:
1) Be nice.
2) Talk OOC like this ((lol we beat them so bad, we rok w00t)) if at all.
3) Do not sell what another player needs, eithersell it to them at a discount or give it to them for free.
4) When in doubt, look to rule #1.

This system is both useful and will make for a good RP environment, and I hope we can get many to join us. Any suggestions are appreciated, and note that there are no plans as of yet to make a guild website, but any who want to make one for me are welcome to do it after asking me. The roleplaying required is to spell everything out, and to say nothing your charachter wouldn't say. (you should have a persona thought up for your char, it makes it easier) At the date of release I will post my ingame character name (or on one of the BWE if someone could lend me a code

) for you to send a request to. Again thank you for any suggestions/comments, i want this to be a succesfull and fun guild for any who want to join. Also if you want to get a council member status, now is a good time to post here and show how you deserve it.
